ABS-CBN exec hurt in mishap
A high official of television network ABS-CBN was hurt and became unconscious in a biking accident in Quezon City on Saturday afternoon.
The victim was identified as Regina Lopez, 58, Managing Director of the Kapamilya network. She is a resident of Ayala Heights, Quezon City.
Fairview Police Station commander Supt. Virgilio Fabian said the accident took place at 5:22 p.m. at the La Mesa Dam in Barangay Lagro.
"We were assured by the doctors that she is already conscious," said Fabian, as posted in the Manila Bulletin.
Initial reports said Lopez accidentally slipped from her bicycle and fell unconscious to the ground. She was quickly brought to the Far Eastern University Hospital.
"She underwent CT scan but the doctors there recommended her transfer to the St. Luke's Medical Center for further examination," Fabian said.
